NIKKI SIXX's Ex-Wife Collapses During Divorce Trial With Rocker
November 12, 2007KNBC.com reports that model/actress Donna D'Errico collapsed in a restroom Friday (November 9) and complained of breathing problems in the middle of a trial to determine how assets should be split up in her divorce from MÖTLEY CRÜE member Nikki Sixx.
Although paramedics were called to the sixth floor restroom of the downtown Los Angeles courthouse, the 39-year-old former "Baywatch" star eventually walked out unassisted, a sheriff's deputy said.
Later, sitting in a sheriff's office down the hallway from the courtroom and restroom, D'Errico said her breathing difficulties were related to asthmatic bronchitis aggravated by recent wildfires near her home.
On Thursday, she had asked that the court hearing be delayed because of her health condition — and because she does not have a lawyer — but Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Thomas Trent Lewis denied the request, forcing her to represent herself.
He did the same thing Friday, although her voice both days has been so hoarse, she is barely audible in court.
During Thursday's hearing, one of Sixx's friends, Jonathan Roberts, testified that he spied on D'Errico and photographed her extensively on Sunday at Sixx's request. He said he saw her go to church, a restaurant, and a sporting goods store and walk up a long stairway at a beach.
Another witness, retired sheriff's Sgt. Thomas Stephens, testified he spied on D'Errico Wednesday — also in behalf of Sixx — and that she left her home for six hours. When she returned, she smiled at him when he said "Donna, National Enquirer" as she parked her SUV, he said.
Both men said D'Errico did some of the driving and that her father did the rest.
